THE WOODHOUSE LODGE

Originally built in 1962 as an escape for city dwellers, this shaker-meets-mid-century property is the perfect base for a Catskills retreat. In addition to overnight stays, the lodge serves as a gathering spot for weddings and special events.

We used a plaster treatment on these living room walls to give the space a rich and moody feel while upgrading the builder-grade drywall.

We created outdoor rooms for guests to lounge in. with the addition of shade sales and custom planter boxes.

These custom soapstone countertops were fabricated on-site. The low shelf creates a functional perch for decore and frequently used items while celebrating the natural beauty of the stone.

This loft was created as a stand-alone apartment-style suite for guests. It features a kitchenette with custom cabinets and  built-in beds.

We honored the vintage architecture of this former roadside motel by restoring the vintage '60s bathroom tile and injected modern touches throughout –  custom leather and felt headboards by Hudson Vally designer Moses Nadel.
